J’den sales gallery draws over 7,000 visitors on preview weekend

The unveiling of CapitaLand Development’s J’den drew an overwhelming response with more than 7,000 visitors flocking to the sales gallery on the first weekend of its public preview ending Sunday, Oct 29. It’s one of the largest preview crowds this year, according to Ken Low, managing partner of SRI.

Sales bookings for J’den will begin this Saturday, Nov 11.

The response is not only a testament to the pent-up interest in private residential launches in the vibrant Jurong Gateway – the heart of the Jurong Lake District – but also a mark of confidence in the developer’s reputation and in integrated developments in general.

At 40 storeys and 150m high, J’den is set to be the tallest residential tower and the first mixed-use development in the heart of Singapore’s second CBD. The 368 units are a mix of one-bedroom to four-bedroom premium apartments, with sizes ranging from 527 to 1,485 sq ft.

Justin Kwek, deputy CEO of OrangeTee & Tie, believes the great turnout is indicative of the “strong interest” in the development. Mark Yip, CEO of Huttons Asia concurs, saying, “The growth potential is immense as the plans for JLD take shape.”

JLD is the second district outside the Marina Bay to be linked by four MRT lines. The Jurong Region Line is slated for completion in 2029, followed by the Cross Island Line two years later. It will create connectivity between JLD and the CBD, Jurong Innovation District, one-north and educational hubs in less than half an hour via train.

The target demographic appears to be young urbanites in their late twenties to early thirties, judging by the steady stream of potential buyers taking interest in the two-, three- and even four-bedroom units. Prices start from $2,100 psf, a value proposition that is hard to beat considering the locale’s proximity to the MRT station and plenty of amenities in the area.

At Senja Residences EC Bukit Panjang, residents and visitors can explore the nearby amenities. Local hawker centres, nearby supermarkets, Bukit Panjang Plaza, and Junction 10 are only a short distance away. Therefore, Senja Close EC Bukit Panjang is ideal for families looking for quality and convenience. In addition, it is only a few minutes drive from Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, providing the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll.

It’s been 10 years since the last new launch in Jurong Gateway, the 738-unit J Gateway, so Ismail Gafoor, CEO of PropNex, concludes “there’s pent-up demand for new private homes in the area. We think J’den will see a very positive response and could likely be one of the top-selling projects this year in terms of take-up rate.”

Indeed, the promising turnout over the weekend speaks to the robust outlook of J’den and its environs in the coming years.
