Mitbana, a joint venture between Mitsubishi Corp and Surbana Jurong, and Indonesian property developer Intiland Development have together launched Green Bestari Park, an integrated township and transit oriented development (TOD) in Tangerang, located within Indonesia’s Greater Jakarta area. Known as Inti Mitbana Development, this joint venture holds a 70% stake in the 51-hectare project and is responsible for all elements of the development, from masterplanning and urban design to land preparation and infrastructure development.
The first phase of the park spans 14 hectares, hosting amenities for residents, such as cluster landed homes, retail areas, F&B outlets and a clubhouse. Subsequent phases will bring more residences, a city park, commercial areas, as well as an integrated rapid transit station connecting Balaraja and Cikarang via the East-West MRT line.
The vision for Green Bestari Park, according to Permadi Indra Yoga, Intiland’s executive director of business development, is to create a “leading sustainable development that rejuvenates the Talaga Bestari area and foster the building of an inclusive social community”. Daisuke Kobayashi, Mitbana’s Deputy Chief Operating Office and President Director of Inti Mitbana Development, shares the same vision, adding that the park will provide residents with eco-conscious living and modern amenities – such as the TOD and a proposed green boulevard looping around the township referred to as the Green Connection.
Green Bestari Park looks to be an exciting project that could set standards for sustainable urban living in the Greater Jakarta area. It is also a testament to the collaboration and hard work of both Mitbana and Intiland in aiming to create an innovative and inclusive living environment for residents.
