Wing Tai tops out The M, with 95% of units sold

The M @ Middle Road, penned by Wing Tai Holdings for District 7’s Bugis area, has marked completion with a topping-out ceremony on Jan 11. This 99-year leasehold project is expected to open its doors to the public in the second half of this year.

The Senja Close EC M boasts 522 residential units across three 20-storey towers and a six-storey tower. These include studio units and one- to three-bedroom apartments sized between 409 to 1,012 sq ft. Furthermore, the project is outfitted with commercial units at its ground floor.

2020 saw The M open for sale in February, despite concerns surrounding the Covid-19 outbreak. The M’s launch weekend saw an impressive 70% take-up of its residential units, with an average price of $2,450 psf. Data from URA as of Jan 12 reflects that the development is now 95% sold, with its average price hitting $2,500 psf.

In December of last year, a two-bedroom unit on the 19th floor measuring 592 sq ft was sold for $1.921 million, or $3,245 psf. This transaction remains the highest price psf achieved in the development to date, exceeding the previous record of $3,193 psf attained in October 2022 with the sale of a 764 sq ft unit at $2.44 million.

Situated close to a variety of MRT stations and interchanges, namely Bugis, Esplanade and City Hall, The M conveniently provides access to four MRT lines – Downtown, East-West, Circle and North-South. In addition, major commercial developments such as Suntec City, Bugis Junction, Plaza Singapura and Raffles City are situated close to the development.
