Real estate agency Mindlink Groups to acquire Century 21 Singapore

Mindlink Groups is set to become a significantly larger player as it merges with Century 21 Singapore. In a press release on Oct 30, the real estate agency announced that it is acquiring Century 21 Singapore, upon receiving the final approval from Century 21 Real Estate.

Century 21 is a global real estate franchise chain with over 14,250 offices across 85 countries and territories. The brand is owned by US-based Century 21 Real Estate, a subsidiary of Anywhere Real Estate, which is listed in the New York Stock Exchange. Anywhere Real Estate also owns other real estate brands such as Sotheby’s International Realty, Coldwell Banker, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, and ERA Real Estate.

Century 21 Singapore was established in 1998 and has since grown through a series of M&A involving smaller firms that became its franchisees. As such, it currently has 16 franchisees, with over 500 members.

Mindlink Groups, founded by key executive officer Chow Yi Tong in 2001, has around 100 salespersons. Once the merger is completed, the merged entity will have a combined sales force of 600 salespersons. Chow will assume the position of group chairman in the new entity.
